Karyn Rainey's Bio

Originally from Washington State (Wenatchee), I have ridden horses since I was two years old. Right after graduating from high school, I left Washington State to go to Meredith Manor, a horsemanship trade school in West Virginia, owned by Kay Meredith, a member of the 1980 Olympic team for dressage,. 

While at Meredith Manor I was Kay Meredith's groom. Kay placed me with Olympic Team member and now "O" Dressage judge Linda Zang in Davidsonville, Maryland. Linda judged Dressage at the Atlanta Games.  I worked with Event Team member Denny Emerson as well. 

I have galloped Thoroughbred racehorses for a total of 18 years, working at Pimlico, Rockingham Park, Tampa Bay Downs, and Emerald Downs.  I have also ridden with Gayle Molander (former Event team member) for seven years.  She helped me win many horse trials through Preliminary level and area Championships through that level in Area II. 

I have also done clinics with Karl Mikolka, Jen Verhaven and many others.
